4 Security Camera Tips from a Professional

In this video I will be chatting about the Tapo Pan and Tilt camera that I use for security in my homes, in both Florida and Montreal.

I will also go over some professional tips for security cameras that I think are beneficial when buying and installing your cameras. I have been installing and using security cameras for 10 years, and these are the tips I would give anyone who is looking to add security cameras to their SmartHome system.

Pro tip #1:

You don't have to buy outdoor rated cameras. There are ways around this such as mounting in a covered area outside under an eve,

Pro tip #2:

Its okay to have a battery as a backup for your camera, but a battery as the main source of power is an inconvenience in my opinion.

Pro tip #3:

To add value to your camera, integrate it with your SmartHome system. For example, I have my camera set up so when there is an alert from my camera, my Google Speaker lets me know. Pretty cool!

Pro tip #4:

Buy a camera that supports an SD card.
